Ameel Candy World are a family-run business employing a workforce of some 50 staff managed by Wilfried and Tom Ameel.

In 1960, Wilfried Ameel set up his own confectionery business.
With well over 40 years of drive and commitment to look back on, the sweet products industry has no secrets to him.
A wealth of experience of many years' standing which Wilfried is now passing on to his son, Tom.

Tom is now in the process of taking over the business, step by step. This will serve to guarantee the continuity of the growing volume of trade both at home and abroad.
"We are not happy until our customers are happy!" continues to be our motto day by day.

History overview
1960
 Start of commercial activities in Ieperstraat in Roeselare under the name of “Ameel Confiserie”.
1970
 Incorporation of the Lekkerland trade association with Ameel Confiserie as one of the founding members. Ameel Confiserie joined the association under the trade name of Lekkerland - West.
1975
 Commercial activities are relocated from Ieperstraat to the new offices and warehouse located Industrieweg in Roeselare-Beveren.
1999
 Ameel Confiseries pulls out from the Lekkerland association. Incorporation of Ameel Candy World NV and launch of 2 new house brands : Lollywood and Biscyland
2000
 In September, the business is one of the victims of a series of arson attacks in Roeselare.
The pyromaniac is caught and confesses to the arson attacks.
2002
 Relocation of the entire warehousing activities to Veurinck due to lack of space.
2004
 Early January, our offices are relocated to an office building in Ardooie.
2004
 Early February, renovation work to offices and warehouses located Industrieweg 22-26 gets underway.
2005
 Early March : inauguration of new premises.
